Henderson County Heritage Museum Gift Shop
Visit our Gift Shop where we celebrate our Guardians of the Past who preserved and continue to enrich the heritage of Henderson County. Buy their books and listen to their stories in a video presentation. Authors include Robert Morgan, Frank FitzSimons, Kermit Edney, Louise Bailey, Terrell Garren, Lenoir Ray, George Jones and Alexia Helmsley Jones, Terry Ruscin, Nicholas Warr, Mead Parce, James T. Fain, George Wilkins, Galen Reuther and LuAnn Welter, Fredrick Taylor and others.
Pioneer toys are a new addition to the Gift Shop. Items include handmade, wooden toys from Gee-Haw Whimmydiddles to ole-timey toys. Kits for making quilts, rock art, bead necklaces, and more are also available. The Gift Shop also offers bamboo flutes, old-time harmonicas, jaw's harp and more.
The gift shop has for sale several maps featured in the exhibits, including the Revolutionary War battle map, depicting where the county’s Patriots and Tories fought; and the Civil War battle map that depicts where the county’s Confederate regiments fought. Also available for the sale is the county settlement map, showing where early veterans settled. View and buy the museum’s community map and learn where you live.
The shop offers items that include t-shirts, coffee mugs, pencils, photographs of the Henderson County Historic Courthouse, small flags representing the nation’s history and branches of the armed services, and other gift items.
